Bädr Vogu is a band that has become a constant storm sweeping through the Bay Area of California since the start of 2010. Featuring members from the bands Strains Of The Apocalypse, Hotblack Desiato, and World Eater, Bädr Vogu continues to usurp the many souls lucky enough to witness their crushingly heavy West Oakland Blues Crust.

On Saturday February 25th, 2012, I had the opportunity to play a matinee show with two great bands. One of those bands, Larvae, is a newer band from Oakland but have already been playing shows in the bay area for the last few months. Larvae plays Doom/Black Metal that effectively blends both genres, without containing too much of the other. Hey CVLT Nation, my name is Chad. I play in a few bands in the Bay Area of California and also run Hell Crust. This is my first post for the CVLT Nation website. Hope you enjoy! Thank you Sean and Meghan for allowing me to contribute!

Ceaseless Desolation is a Polish Crust/Stenchcore band with hints of Black, Doom, and Sludge Metal. Their name and sound go hand-in-hand. Ceaseless Desolation creates the atmosphere of the album with the introductory track, “Nieustająca Dewastacja” followed by a heavily reinforced crust assault with “Tyrania Widm”. Ceaseless Desolation encompasses the sound of some newer Crust bands while at the same time managing to cross the thresholds of times past. They effectively keep the old-school feeling without limiting the potential for further musical influence.
