When Sean and I found the UndeadTeds tumblr, we knew we’d stumbled on to something awesome. When we watched the video (below) of his mechanized “Peek-a-Boo” UndeadTed and our 3 year old said “awwww…so cute!!” we knew we’d done something right as parents. Phillip Blackman‘s custom made zombie teddy bears are truly frightening to behold – gaping eye sockets and giant teeth, amputated arms and broken bones protruding from sticky, bloody fur, sometimes eating their own viscera. In other words, pretty fucking rad. And he does custom jobs too – a rampaging zombie Paddington, holding his bloody battle axe in one hand and the amputated head of his enemy in the other; Winnie the Pooh munching on a honey pot of brains; Hello Kitty with her cute fucking face ripped off. Blackman does an amazing job of creating realistic bones and blood, and incorporating them seamlessly into the bodies of the otherwise fluffy, friendly little guys. Now excuse me – I have to watch the Peek-a-Boo teddy do his thing on repeat with my daughter…enjoy the photos below!
