Danielle Fedorshik’s photography is of the black metal community. But it’s not just a series of corpse painted faces. Her photos embody a feeling of a community that she is a part of. Capturing pagan rites, branding and a rewilding primitive approach to living. Animal skulls and bones lay near a roaring bonfire in a dark forest in the dead of winter. Black metal tremolo blares out from the darkness behind the light of the fire. Danielle has captured this essence with her photographs, leaving a powerful visual history to this subculture.

Only person I would let take a photo of me is her. Best chick. Best photos.
This is very refreshing. Especially in these current times of anyone picking up a camera calling themselves photographers.
Wonderful images. Saturated, luminous, and the B&W are artfully rendered — full gray scale range: nothing lost in shadow or blown in highlights. Very nice work Danielle. :GB:
Oh, and she happens to be one of the nicest person on earth too.
