Oceans of color crashing against mountains of detail – these are things that come to mind when you look at the tattoo work of Valerie Vargas. This Scottish-born artist has a style that is all of her own. She has been able to take the classic art of tattooing and flip the script, combining styles in a new and unique way, and as a result she is hugely in demand as a custom tattoo artist in one of the biggest cities in the world. As a part of their series Tattoo Age, Vice has put together a killer documentary that focuses on her and her London crew at Frith Street Tattoo in SoHo. Trust me, once you start watching this doc, you will not be able to stop, and you might even want to fly to London to get some work done by Valerie Vargas.
