One-Man Improvised Black Metal Violence: PANDISCORDIAN NECROGENESIS
San Francisco’s Pandiscordian Necrogenesis is some raw black metal mindfuckery to behold. Mastermined by Ephemeral Domignostika of Mastery, Apprentice Destroyer, and Pale Chalice fame, this new-ish solo endeavor of his is a synapse-destroying exercise in extreme metal deconstruction and sonic annihilation that has few equals in the underground these days. Don’t believe us? Look at the footage below…
Using finger picking guitar technique and fret board abuse of some alien and unknown origin along makeshift live gear modified for the purpose, and centering everything around unpredictability and improvisation, Ephemeral Domignostika has built a deranged and errant sonic world of his own where the human brain is the main enemy and target to annihilate through a mindless assault on the senses.
Pandiscordian’s approach at the black metal craft is hard to describe and bizarre to say the least, but what transpires above all is the care and ambition put into the project to create something beyond and unmatched that challenges the mind in unseen ways and appears deeply thought-provoking and unsettling as Domignostika throws his entire corporal and psychological spheres into the performance to summon an unyielding weapon of complete black metal chaos aimed straight at the listener/spectator’s synapses.
Pandiscordian Necrogenesis‘ latest effort Outer Supernal is out on Gilead Media and the record still stands strong as one of the most danged and aberrant black metal releases of 2018.
